This document is a working draft written to describe how Skyalia is actually built. It has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor and is not legally binding wording. It must be replaced with counsel-approved text before the platform takes a real booking.

ATOL & financial protection
Flight-inclusive travel sold to UK consumers is a regulated activity. This page states plainly how Skyalia is structured — including what is not yet in place.
How flights are sold
Skyalia sells flights as agent of an ATOL holder, not as principal. The ATOL holder is named on your confirmation, and where your booking is ATOL protected you will receive an ATOL Certificate listing exactly what is covered and by whom.
Journeys are Linked Travel Arrangements
When you add a stay, transfer or other element alongside a flight, Skyalia does not sell you a package. Each element is a separate contract with a separate supplier, separately priced, and can be removed without affecting the others.
This means you do not benefit from the rights that apply to packages under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Where the combination you choose forms a Linked Travel Arrangement, the disclosure the regulations require will be shown before you pay, together with details of the insolvency protection that does apply.
What this means in practice
- Each supplier is responsible for performing its own service.
- If one element fails, the others stand — and so do their terms.
- No single company is responsible for the trip as a whole. That is the trade-off for being able to unbundle it.
Current status
Skyalia is pre-launch. The ATOL holder relationship, the LTA insolvency protection arrangements and the certificate wording on this page are being put in place and reviewed by counsel. Until that is complete and this notice is removed, no flight-inclusive booking will be taken.
